I went here with my wife for dinner (4th time) a couple of nights ago. Our experience was pretty representative of our previous visits. The facility is reasonably clean, and pleasantly decorated. The bar, tables, etc. were pretty similar to the pubs I went to throughout the UK, except for the 15' ceiling, never saw that in an English pub before. The choice of beer was good, of course, Guinness was on tap and was poured decently. I haven't had the cocktails personally, but other people who've joined us for dinner there liked them well enough. The food. The menu had been updated with some new items since my last visit, some of the new items look good. I don't know much about traditional Irish cooking, but they seem to have done a decent job with it. the food seems well prepared, if a bit bland (but I think most places are bland). I've had the guinness stew, irish breakfast, shepherd pie, corned beef and cabbage, as well as most of the appetizers. None of the these things wowed me, but none of them were poor or bad either. they all seem freshly prepared. all-in-all, not a great dinner place. more of a place to have a few drinks with friends, watch sports (no thanks), and maybe have something to eat while you happen to be there. we really need a gastro-pub in central Arkansas, like the places I went to in Toronto. terrific food, terrific drinks, real pub atmosphere.

Every third Thursday of month is beer tasting and it comes with a meal - 29 different beer on tap.

Thank you for being one of the few non-smoking bars around here. I like going home not reeking of cigarette smoke. Even better than smoke free, this place was douchebag free the night I went. I can't vouch for the other nights, but I appreciate not having the stench of douchebags floating around in the air yesterday. As for the mixed drinks/shots, they're a hit or a miss depending on what you order. Some drinks were weak, while other drinks were so strong they could be used disinfect kitchen countertops. Despite the inconsistency with the drinks, I still give this place four stars since this is an Irish pub. They have a good beer menu, which I think I'll order from the next time I'm here. I echo a previous poster's Strongbow observation. I haven't been able to order Strongbow since I've left the Boston-area (my college had it on tap. awesome.) and that makes me sad.

Had a great dinner here followed by our first tornado experience. Great place for a great meal and super service. We came in mostly to try the fish and chips. Three of our group ordered the fish and chips. It was very good and plenty for all of us. The others seemed happy with their choices as well, a ruben sandwich, a hamburger with our the meat for our little veggie granddaughter, and a burger for our other granddaughter. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful in pointing out different places around town for coffee, pastries for the morning, etc. Prices were also very reasonable. We would eat here again on another visit. Just after we left, the storm rolled in and part of our group who was still in the area had to rush back into the restaurant to take cover. The restaurant brought water and coffee for them to enjoy as they waited out the weather.

I visited this location one afternoon when I was clearly wrong about when a Travelers game was supposed to happen. They have a very nice selection of Cervezas to choose from but I was turned off from them a little bit when my friend attempted to order two different beers out of their menu but they didn't have any in stock. There is no telling the last time they had stocked them. The service was overall pretty good. My waitress was attentive and knowledgable on what they did or did not have. The outside patio area was nice to look at the surrounding buildings and also clean. Overall, pretty average experience here. There was nothing that was extraordinary from this place. I may return here in the future, but I wont go out of my way to try it out.

Ate at Cregeen's this afternoon after the AR Travelers' baseball game, and I was not impressed. The sign at the door said "Seat Yourself" so I did. I picked a tall table-top in the bar area, and it didn't take long before I wondered whether I had picked the wrong table. At the time, there was one waitress covering the restaurant and another sitting at the bar chatting up a patron. The one at the bar smiled at me but didn't move, while the one on duty was very experienced at ignoring the customers that she wasn't ready for yet. Once I finally got service, it was friendly. Too bad that it took so long. I ordered my standard XX Amber, and the Shepherd's Pie. The beer was great, but the Shepherd's Pie left something to be desired. It came in a shallow dish, had more mashed potatoes than filling, and contained almost no vegetables. I think this pub lives more off of its location than the quality of food or service.

This place was pretty cool. I thought the set up was nice and the servers were very attentive. I came during lunch break and it was pretty empty inside. I'm sure during the weekends/nights it's more live. I ordered a dos equis and a veggie wrap. I really enjoyed the fries. I almost feel like they were the best part *besides* the beer that is. Anyhow, I do recommend this Irish Pub. It's certainly fancier then most. Enjoy :-)

Great atmosphere and awesome patio area! All of the servers and bartenders were very friendly. I got the onion soup and Irish dip, very good but the sandwich was a little messy so prepare to dig in.

Oh, Creegan's. How I want to love you, but cannot. Things have not been up to par the past few times I've been here. In fact, during the worst and most memorable visit, our party of four sat for close to 20 minutes without being waited on. Things were busy, yes. However, we were sitting near the front door and had multiple servers pass us in a frenzied state. Instead of apologizing, we were ignored. So we decided to leave and head to a different bar down the street. Its cool that you imported all the decor from Ireland...but your service is lacking!

Hands down the very worst dining experience since moving here a year ago. First we wait twenty minutes to even get a waiter. He was pissy and acted like he'd rather be anywhere else but at work. I order Dr. Pepper and was given coke. Not once did he ask for or attempt to refill a single glass on our table. I ordered chicken strips and fries. Not thinking you'd up charge the crap out of me. Really. 8.95 for four chicken strips, another 2.95 for ten fries, and sixty cents for a tiny half filled cup of honey mustard?!?!? Seriously. What bar does that. We wait so long for the food to come out cold that we have to ask for our check as soon as the foods brought. Andrew, the waiter from hades, brings our checks but as he's giving them out we ask for to go containers. He grabs our checks off the table. Crumbles them up, walks to the corner register and throws our checks. We are sitting right there ten feet away. If your waiters are going to throw fits at least make them go behind the bar. He brings out the to gos and gives them to us. We have to flag him down AGAIN to even get him to take our money. All in all an EXTREAMLY disappointing lunch. Totally wasted my time. Also. Why on Earth does it smell like a bleach bucket?!?!?

Didn't quite understand why the majority of the staff working were also drinking. Our server talked very negative about the manager. She said he goes across the street to another bar to get a drink while working. A customer or employee (couldn't tell who were customers since staff was also sitting at the bar drinking) ordered food from Skinny J's and had it delivered to them at the bar. Might have been a joke but four containers of food was delivered. Can't really say much about the food. We only ordered appetizers. Nothing spectacular out of the four we ordered. Quesadilla was probably the best out of the four. Reuben egg rolls very greasy. Beer was good. The glass of Malbec I ordered was not drinkable but server never asked why I wasn't drinking it. My husband's cocktail glass had lipstick on it. Server said it was probably hers because she leaves lipstick on all her glasses but said the glasses had been sanitized. The manager was there but apparently not managing the staff since they were either drinking or going outside to smoke.

I dug it. Reuben was excellent, corned beef melted in your mouth. It's kind of a hip place, attitudes are to be expected. Roll with it, we found the staff a bit standoffish initially but ended up being damn funny. I'm guessing the poor reviews are a result of people wanting same 'ol same 'ol service, yes ma'am no sir blah blah blah. Might I suggest Applebee's for your dining pleasure? I'll take wit over canned responses every time; especially if the Reuben rocks.

Great bartender. Beer selection was good and you can sample selections to help decide. Food was good but nothing special. Typical bar food lacking in healthy choices that aren't rabbit lettuce and tons of dressing. Really great Irish Dip!!!

Beautiful looking pub (wood was sent over from Ireland to build it). I was one of the first people to visit this pub from day one. I was so exited that an Irish bar was coming to Little Rock. At one time they even had an Irish bartender. The food is day by day. One time it's great the next it's so, so (I'm British so I know my pub food). The main issue I have with this pub is when they have live music playing. It is literally so loud you can't hear the person talking sat next to you. Even at the other end of the bar it's incredibly loud. I have seen Motörhead and AC/DC live so it's not that I don't like loud music. Pubs are supposed to be meeting places for people to chat and relax with a nice pint. The last time I went with friends we actually ended up leaving because you couldn't have a nice conversation with anyone without shouting. Visit on days or nights without live music and it's a pretty decent pub (hence 3 stars) but stay away from live music nights if you cherish your hearing. Hope this review helps.

Beer is good and cold but it's really hard to mess that up. But then again I ordered a burger thinking that couldn't be messed up and it was. The burger is over seasoned and under cooked. Like raw throughout most of it. I decided to not eat it and move on to dessert. Bread pudding was ok but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly but slow. I wouldn't go back unless it was to drink and enjoy the surroundings. Bar and patio were both homey and inviting.

I enjoyed my visit here. I came with two friends for dinner and a drink and was surprised to find the neighborhood and restaurant here. Creegeen's was a pleasant surprise for me. We walked in and there was a hostess booth and so we thought someone would be seating us but no one really came by. We kind of stepped in a little more and found eventually one of the servers said we could sit anywhere we wanted. The pub style three top we sat on was a little awkward right in between a huge pillar in between the bar and the door. A busy and clumsy placement. A lot of good beers available, Guinness yes, but also other Irish beers not made by Diageo. I had a Murphy's which I think is creamier and tastier than Guinness. My friend got an Irish milkshake, which we assumed was a spiked milkshake but was actually more of a foo-foo martini drink. I ordered Irish Nachos as an appetizer, a tasty mixture made with potato chips, corned beef and spicy sauerkraut a strange mix. I've had 'Irish nachos' before which was just nacho stuff on chips. The ones here were something new, with the spicy kraut being a pleasant surprise and the corned beef works really well too, something I was also wary of. I got their shepherd's pie as ell which was also startingly good. The last shepherd's pie I had was plain, a rather bland stew with mashed potatoes scooped over it. The shepherd's pie here was a big platter of beef and veggies with a thick layer potatoes over it. Tasty, a big portion and pretty easy on the wallet. Our server, Molly was also friendly and attentive. She came to check on us frequently, didn't pressure us to leave and I left there full and happy.

If you wanna pay for over priced garbage, than this the place for you. All the food tastes like it was made the day before and reheated....some how the french fries that came with my meal were overdone and undercooked at the same time...absoultely horrible...I will bever be eating here again.

Yep, a pseudo Irish Pub. This has been assembled in Ireland, and shipped over in pieces. Not an original idea. I have seen this type of pub done better, but it still looks nice. Dark wood paneling abound. A relatively long bar is centrally located, and sectioned off. Plenty of corners for dinners that are sectioned off as well, and a nice area to sit outside. A few of TV's turned to sports, and music playing. Typical and kind of cookie cutter, but still enjoyable. The service is fine, but not really that well informed about the beer. Someone asked for that "skinny beer" and the bartenders did not know what they were talking about. I found it obvious that they wanted New Belgium Skinny Dip (which was the special for the night). Though they are friendly and attentive. The quality of the beer seemed fine. No old or dirty taps on my visit. The food is typical pub grub. with burgers, wings, and the obligatory fish and chips, banger n mash staples along with some other sandwiches. I had a rueben that was decent. Beer list is New Belgium, Diamond Bear, Boulevard, Sam Adams, and a few other macros. Overall, this is a nice place to grab a beer. Besides the two brewpubs in town, and the Flying Saucer this might be the only other place to grab some craft beers. Fairly average, but a decent place that I can see being a regular haunt of mine if I lived in town.

I'm only rating on atmosphere and beer because the kitchen was closed :-( sad day for a girl who loves food. ANYwho, a pint of guiness was $5... that's fine. The place was packed but it was really cool, I loved the "Irish" feel! Not that I've ever been to Ireland but whatever. I'd come back for some food if I got the chance! The people were very friendly :)

It looks like the beer selection is good, but don't order food here. I ordered corned beef and cabbage. I could hardly cut through the meat and was not able to hew it. The cabbage had no flavor at all, I think the mashed potatoes were instant and the gravy was actually watery. I ordered a coffee and it was cold. So was the food. Dugan's is in the area and much much better.

They have a full bar with great selection of beer on tap, service is always great, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the spinach/artichoke dip, burger, and the beef stew. If you're looking for something lighter they have a great salad selection too! They also have two different outdoor patios that are dog friendly!

We were interested in a casual pub atmosphere for a casual engagement party. I called and spoke with Alex, who was able to book the "Library" for us. Alex didn't stop there. He was quick to answer all of my questions either via phone or text. I was making the arrangements from Maryland and I was able to do so stress free. Once we got to the Pub, Chris stepped in and handled everything efficiently and effectively for the remainder of the evening. Dinner was delicious and everyone had a good time. Thank you, Alex and Chris.

As part of our guided tour of the Little Rock area my parents brought me and my girlfriend to Cregeen's for some late afternoon libation. It was the day after Christmas so it was kinda dead when we got there. Eventually a few other folks made their way in too, which helped the overall vibe quite a bit. I immediately ordered a Guinness, they always taste better at an Irish pub! We were only up for a couple of apps to go with the the drinks and we decided on the Irish nachos and the fried pickles. The nachos were a creative take on the standard fare. They had a base of kettle-style potato chips topped with corned beef, gouda, sauerkraut and sour cream. They were very good, although not a very large portion for almost 8 bucks. The fried pickles were OK, but probably just came from a bag. The ambiance is awesome, they even have an old school "snug". Back in the day (in Ireland!) it was for the ladies to get away from the hordes of drunken dudes. At Cregeen's I can see how this area might be nice for families trying to get away from the crowd. I wish we were planning on eating dinner there, as I saw a number of items on the menu that looked great. I guess I'll just have to make my way back the next time I'm in town!

Don't where to start on this one, read the reviews, and decided to give it a shot. Ambiance was like allot of pubs I've been in, wood decor and not a lot of light. Ordered the Bangers and Mash while my bud order the Sheppard Pie. Now had a Bitburger (this gave the second star since Yelp doesn't award half stars) which other than being export was the best part of the meal. Bangers over cooked, mash with no taste, gravy real dull. Old bud had to add ketchup to his pie to get any flavor so he said. So i guess it's less than average Irish food (being nice) to which afterwords we trucked over to Scoop Dogs to get the after taste out which turned out to be the best part of the dining experience.

It was my first day in Arkansas and it just happened to be St Patrick's so where else would I go than my neighborhood Irish bar a block away. It started out super tame, but definitely picked up and was a blast. The drinks were great, the bartenders were charming and the foods was tasty. I'm looking forward to partaking on a non-holiday. I highly recommend the chicken fingers and bbq sauce. And the side Caesar salad was huge and delicious.

Who is giving this place more than two stars, the employees? Took a chance with my wife a few weeks ago for lunch. Ordered a Rueben..should be easy right? Not so fast. It looked like something I would make out of my refrigerator if I were in a hurry. Skimpy portions of corned beef and not much flavor. Requested onions rings instead of fries. I'm betting those came out of a box that said "onion rings". Give it a try if you like, but I probably will not go back again.

I have been to this place many times since 2007, I love the beer and ale selection, They have Irish, English, and Scottish, of course they have domestic and other imported Beers/Ales, But it being an "Irish Pub" I stick with the drinks from there. A while back I had their Irish Nachos, I Highly recommend these as everyone who speaks of them are doing They are Awesome. I have also had their bangers and mash which was surprisingly good, I have had others that the gravy was too stout or soupy, the bangers so done that they were tough etc... But not theirs. If there are areas that is a hit/miss, it is the service, most of the time I have had good service atleast, though on occasion it is not that great.

I love this place. We have celebrated birthdays and promotions here several times. The best part is that even when they have a band playing, it doesn't over power the whole place! You can sit close and listen, or sit in one of the nooks and have an intimate conversation. :) The food is fantastic. The fried pickles are my favorite. My husband loves it for the great variety of beer and I believe they are an all ages establishment. Everyone should try Cregeen's.

While in town visiting with friends, someone mentioned that there was an authentic Irish pub close by. We hopped the trolley and headed over. We enjoyed the trolley ride as the driver pointed out things to see. Jumped off at the pub stop. Being greeted at the door with a chalkboard message that simply said "Have fun or we might throw you out" made us all laugh. When we questioned our server if we could have too much fun, she quipped, "We're a pub not a restaurant." Good answer! My dining companions got alcoholic beverages and pronounced the pear cider tasty and the Black Russians well made. The pub itself was lovely inside. Having never set foot inside a real Irish pub, I couldn't tell you authentic from cheap Wal-Mart knock-off, but the dark woods made for a cozy environment. We were seated in the breakfast nook area. Service was not as prompt or as attentive as I might have liked especially since the place was fairly empty on a weekday in the afternoon. I chose the corned beef and cabbage which was quite tasty. The corned beef was nicely done without being overdone and the cabbage had not been cooked down to a grey mass. The potatoes were heavenly. I can see how this place would be fun to go back to if I lived in Little Rock. Overall, the less-than-enthusiastic service and having to look for a server at times was a drawback for me.

This is a reliable, pleasant pub. I've been here many times for lunch, drinks, dinner and music. It's beautifully decorated with dark woods and various little areas or rooms that allow for some intimacy if you don't want to sit in the large main room. It's also loud here, and if the patrons aren't loud, the music will be playing at a good volume. The food is very good, and I've never had anything bad here, though I do not like the hummus here very much (but I didn't expect to in an Irish pub!). I've had the boxty farthing (crispy potato pancakes) several times, and that's always a favorite for us. I've also had the fish and chips many times, and my husband has always been satisfied -- but not delighted -- with his choices from the menu. The Guinness is great here, along with other choices on tap. And the overall pub experience is definitely enjoyable. I'll keep going back for the pub atmosphere and the great brews on tap.

Great atmosphere. Extremely sad portions! At and Irish Pub, figured I would have some corn beef and cabbage. I was served 1 slice of corn beef, a 1/4 chunk of cabbage and potatoes and gravy. Friend had the same thing. I couldn't believe me eyes! Today a friend had a Ruben from a canteen and it had more beef then the two plates combined last night. Where's the BEEF Cregeens?
